This course will be run by Dean, our chief instructor, and will cover both Side Sword and Longsword. You will learn the fundamentals of how to fight with swords. Be introduced to the world of HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) Our training is based in the genuine historical manuals written by real fencing masters from the medieval, renaissance and napoleonic eras.

Once you have completed the course, a brief safety grading and joined the club proper, a number of different weapons will be open to you, ranging from arming sword through to longsword, saber, rapier, various pole arms. The options are (almost) limitless! As a part of your beginners course fee you will also be entitled to 6 months training after you beginners course is finished
